Known for their psychedelic / folk-rock stylings, Brother Oliver was one of the early pioneers of electrifying the mandolin through effects. And most recently—the band’s mandolin player Stephen Oliver became the Guinness World Record holder for ‘longest marathon playing mandolin’.
Over the years, Brother Oliver has shared the stage with iconic acts—The Steve Miller Band, Big Head Todd & The Monsters, SUSTO, of Montreal, and many more.
They’ve been critically acclaimed by major outlets such as HuffPost, American Songwriter, PopMatters—and their music has been featured in Film & TV soundtracks on HBO and PBS.
The band stars in the feature film How To Break A World Record—an award winning and action packed documentary about Stephen Oliver’s attempt to break a world record.
