Coming Next to the Playhouse

Join us for Island Night with The Jacksonville State University Steel Band that was formed in January, 2010 by Dr. Thomas McCutchen, percussion professor and Music Department Head. Nicknamed “INFERNO,” it is a talented group of students and faculty that performs at a variety of venues. They have performed at the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA) convention, the Canyon Center Concert Series (Little River Canyon Center), the Cheaha Challenge, the Rainbow City Chocolate Festival, Habitat for Humanity Dragon Boat Festival, and numerous school concerts in the region. There will be a ‘free-to-students’ concert in the afternoon.
