Gallery Exhibitions put the focus on the unique talents of regional artists. The year begins in February with an Annual Juried Art Exhibition, displaying the submissions of up to 35 artists and artisans.
In March, to celebrate Youth Art Month the art of local school children is displayed in Hawthorne Hall.
April the first of the Bringing Ellijay Sensational Talent (B.E.S.T.) Visual Art Series Exhibition is on display. Noted artist from all over the country are invited to show their artwork in our main gallery.
August brings us our Member Artist Exhibition, where our artists are invited to display their work in the main gallery to coincide with the annual Membership Appreciation Reception.
The year closes with the second installment of the B.E.S.T. Visual Art Series in November. See the calendar for a complete list of events and dates.

Quilt and Fiber Art Exhibition – “Warm and Cozy”
Works by members of Apple Country Quilters and more! The opening reception for this exhibition of “fiber art” opens with a reception on 12/14, 5-7pm. The work by Apple Country Quilters and other fiber artists featured in this exhibition is on display through 2/20/2019.

Annual Juried Art Exhibition
Featuring works of art by more than 20 regional artists. Join other supporters of the arts at the opening reception on 2/23, 5-7pm to experience the work of these talented artists. On display through 3/28
3/8/19 – 4/10/19
Annual Gilmer County Student Art Exhibition.
See the work of these talented elementary, middle and high school students as we celebrate “Student Art Month” at Gilmer Arts. Opening reception 3/1, 4-6pm. The artwork is on display until 4/10.

B.E.S.T. Visual Art Exhibition – “The Art of Hoguer Ramirez Galindez.”
In his return to Gilmer Arts as a seasoned artist, Hoguer Ramirez shows his exceptional and diverse talent in this exhibition of sculpture and paintings. Join the artist and other supporters of Gilmer Arts at a reception celebrating his return to our gallery. On display until 5/16
Georgia Clay Council – The Art of Clay
Gilmer Arts is hosting an exhibition featuring the artwork of regional, national and local clay artists. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by Gilmer Arts and the Georgia Clay Council (GCC). The GCC was established in 2003 to promote learning and enrichment activities for clay artists of all skills, to unlock the unlimited possibilities clay has to offer. The exhibition runs through August 12.

Annual Juried Photography Exhibition
Photographers from across the region are featured in the display of fine photographic art. The reception in celebration of these talented artists will be held on opening night when you will be able to meet the artists, and enjoy the company of other supporters of the arts community and Gilmer Arts. The exhibition runs through September 12.

Gilmer Member Artists Exhibition
“All About the Arts”. To help close out Gilmer Arts Month in Gilmer County with a splash, and at the same time celebrate the talents in our community, the Gilmer Arts Gallery is hosting an exhibition featuring the artwork of our member artists. The display of the works by these talented artists will be on display at the Annual Gilmer Arts Membership Reception 5:30 – 8:30pm on Friday the 17th of August, and runs through September 20

B.E.S.T. Visual Art Exhibition – “The Photographic Art of Matthew Ward.”
Images from around the world are on display during this solo exhibition of thought-provoking photographs. Meet the photographer, Matthew Ward at the opening reception on 11/8, 5-7pm. On display until December 11, 2019.
