Folk Art Workshop: Barn Quilt Squares

  • Friday, March 28, 1-4pm /
  • Maximum Class is four students
  • Hawthorne Hall Details: Have you ever seen a painted Barn Quilt as you drove the country backroads? Now you can paint one for your own barn, shed, covered porch or craft room. These make wonderful gifts! Becca does the hard part by sketching the design of your choice. You come and paint along with other like-minded students, see you on March 28th.
  • We call it Folk Art, and it’s always fun in the gallery space classroom with Becca.
  • $90 fee covers all supplies to paint a 24”x24” board*,
  • Gilmer Arts Members receive 10% disc.
  • *Purebond Pre-primed Poplar Project Panels are provided and are rated for outdoor use when the painted surface is properly sealed with Min-Wax Spar Urethane protectant. After you register with payment, contact Becca directly (706-889-1857) for help in selecting a design to paint. She will share a link with images of designs to choose from and will prepare your board so that all you need to do is paint it.
  • If you wish to have a demo for learning how to draw the design, reach out when you register to request a demonstration during class or request a workbook copy with 3 designs for $10 extra during the workshop.
