Community Chorus Concert 4/27

27 April 2025

Gilmer Arts Community Chorus Spring concert, to be held at Ellijay Elementary School auditorium on April 27, 2025, at 4pm, will feature the songs of pop and rock from the decades of the 1960s and 1970s. Great hits from the Beatles such as “Let it Be”, “Can’t Buy Me Love”, “My Life”, and the hits of the Beach Boys like “I Get Around”, “California Girls”, “Fun, Fun, Fun”.

Sly and the Family Stone’s “Everyday People”, and Stevie Wonder’s “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”. More from the hit musical ‘Hair” with “Aquarius” and “Let the Sunshine”.

Top hits “Oh Happy Day”, Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now”, Smokey Robinson’s huge hit “My Girl”, featuring the Men’s Ensemble. The hit “Put a Little Love in Your Heart is teamed up in the arrangement with “Love Train”. There is just so much fun and nostalgia in this program.

Additionally, the concert will feature the GACC rockers, with our accompanist Susan Gooch on piano, and Markham White and Gary Wilder on guitar and bass, and Chad Halbrook on drum set for many of the musical numbers.

A program that is sure to please our listeners young and old. Tickets are still just $10, and kids under 12 are free with an adult.

Make plans for Sunday April 27, 2025 at 4pm for an hour of good family fun and music. Bring the neighbors. You’ll be glad you did.
