DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Reception and Awards ceremony at the 2026 Annual Spring Juried Art Exhibition at the Gallery 3-5 pm on Sunday\, April 12th. It’s an opportunity to meet the 25 artists who have entered this exhibition and hear how the winners were chosen AND see the glee in an artist as they win. \nWe do not envy the judge\, Joe Basco\, this year – there are some really great entries. \nIf you are planning to attend the Community Chorus Concert at Ellijay Elementary on the same day\, you have time to come see the art and visit the artists before the concert begins at 4pm about two blocks away.

There is no right or wrong in improvisational movement!  All levels of fitness can benefit from breathing deeper and moving to your own heart beat.\nMove to your rhythm – feel the joy.\n​ \nAnnouncing: \nEllie’s class is moving to Tuesdays on May 12th \n IF you purchase a six-week series this session you will get an extra class.  \nThis is a deal you can’t pass up! \n                   6 week series starting May 12th and continuing through June 23rd.                        \n10:30 am – 11:45 pm….$120 for series. $25 per class.\nPlease register with the Gilmer Arts office: 706-635-5605 \nAbout Eleanora/aka Ellie Lipton \n​The Dance of Yoga has clearly been my life journey.\nMy first 2 decades of life I danced and performed in Atlanta. Then off to CU/Boulder dance department where I lived most of the 1970’s…. thankfully. Not being a good fit in the dance department became an extraordinary opportunity. My new major in Religious Studies lead to my existentialist crisis and senior thesis – choreographing and performing my interpretations of Native American traditions. Thus the info you see in the program circa 1978. And now\, just now as I’m in my 70’s decade\, I awoke to an answered prayer\, i.e\, what now Sovereign of the Universe do I be? The answer fit like a glass slipper….actually a ballet slipper….
