- How many paint brushes do you have in your supplies? Do you know the difference between them?
- Flats, Rounds, Brights, Angled, and Liners of all sizes are in my paint box. I typically use only a few of them. Practicing brush stroke technique is how you get familiar with your painting tools and medium. Do you prefer to blend or let your brushstrokes show?
- This class will help you find your style no matter which way you wish to paint. Our focus is on painting from images of birds and flowers in the wild.
- If you have an image, bring it. We will discuss why one image is better than another or how we might adjust it to make a better composition, selecting a pleasing color palette and mixing custom shades or hues.
Session 1: Friday, August 8, 1-4pm: CLASS FEE $90, (disc to members) bring your supplies and tools.
Session 2: Friday, August 22, 1-4pm: CLASS FEE $90, (disc to members) bring your supplies and tools.
Both Sessions 1&2: DISCOUNTED FEE of $155 for both dates, (disc to members) bring your supplies & tools.
SUPPLY KIT FEE $75, if you are new to acrylics or would like to use materials and tools similar to what the teacher demonstrates. The beginner’s kit includes an 8pc paint set (pro quality Goldenâ„¢ heavy body acrylics), brush set, palette knives, sketch book, & color-wheel. Whether you are a novice or an expert, you will benefit from this one.
Becca keeps her classes small in order to offer more personal direction and demonstrations in class.                                                                      Each class includes a discussion and lesson for you to build your current skill level.                                                                                     Acrylics are the medium of choice, but if you prefer watercolors or oils, you will benefit from this instruction.                                                                  If you are a beginner trying to find your niche in the art world of North Georgia, this is a good place to begin.                                                              Meet others from your community who have similar interests.
By keeping the attendance limited, Becca can cater to each student during these painting sessions. If you are an advanced or intermediate painter but need help with acrylic tips and tools, this is a good place for you too. If you want to stretch your existing skills and abilities, Becca’s classes will assist you with that. Her students drive her class instruction and planning. She typically offers private instruction to existing students who request such depending on your location and schedule needs.
