Gilmer Arts in partnership with the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce presents the 3rd Annual
Plein Air, Art in the Mountains
Friday, June 9th – Sunday, June 11th, 2017
Plein Air, Art in the Mountains celebrates open air painting at some of Gilmer County’s most beautiful sites, including its vineyards, orchards and mountain and river vistas. Artists will be painting “en plein air” throughout the weekend beginning Friday morning. The public is invited to attend the live art auction on Sunday afternoon, featuring the artwork created during the event t the live art auction.

Build An Ark
Build An Ark Animal Rescue Foundation serves as a foster home to baby sheep, goats, rams, alpaca, ponies, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, baby chicks as well as dogs and cats (and that’s just scratching the surface) allows them to roam and have a peaceful existence in the beautiful North Georgia Mountain at Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay near Carter’s Lake.

Sight of native American fishing ground where stone fish traps were used to corral the fish. Located along the Coosawattee River.
