 Gilmer Arts in partnership with the Gilmer Chamber of Commerce presents the 3rd Annual

Plein Air, Art in the Mountains

Friday, June 9th – Sunday, June 11th, 2017

Plein Air, Art in the Mountains celebrates open air painting at some of Gilmer County’s most beautiful sites, including its vineyards, orchards and mountain and river vistas. Artists will be painting “en plein air” throughout the weekend beginning Friday morning. The public is invited to attend the live art auction on Sunday afternoon, featuring the artwork created during the event t the live art auction.


8:00 am – 3:00 pm | Artists “en plein air” at the venues
4:00 pm | Artists Reception at Gilmer Arts


8:00 am – 2:00 pm | Artist “en plein air” at the venues
12:00 noon – 5:30 pm | Family Fun Day & Picnic at Harrison Park
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm | Artist “Quick Draw” challenge at Harrison Park
5:00 pm | “Quick Draw” judging and award presentation


8:00 am – 1:00 pm | Artist “en plein air” at the venues
3:00 pm – Close | Live Auction and Reception at Gilmer Arts
