Class – Art of Collage

Explore the many possibilities of old-fashion cut and paste paper collage. Experiment with multiple techniques and formal concepts. Let your imagination soar. You will make at least one collage each class and gain tools for further production on your own. Old and young, this medium is really fun regardless your art experience.
The Art of Collage – a 5-week course Wednesday evenings that explores various approaches and techniques for making paper collage. Participants will bring books, magazines, newspapers, etc. and experiment with tearing, cutting, pasting and mixed media inclusion. Emphasis is placed on discovery and freeing up creativity. Jeff will show examples of his work and others and talk about collage each session.
Supplies: good scissors, can of photo spray mount, stack of used books, magazines or newspaper for tearing up, 12 x 16 heavy drawing paper. If you have a question about these supplies email Jeff at firstname.lastname@example.org.
