Artist Organization Meeting

An event every month that begins at 5:30pm on day Third of the month, repeating until December 31, 2018
Gilmer Fine Artist
The April meeting was a treat to attend as Warren Acree lead us in a stained glass mini workshop . Thank you, Warren, for supplying the tools, supplies & your knowledge for us to try out this craft. Everyone had a delightful & enlightening time! Maybe Warren will be offering this as a class soon at Gilmer Arts!
Join us May 17 when Anita Stewart will be there with quality brushes, paint & other products for sale at a good value. She’ll begin her presentation at 5:30pm during our social time. Julie Brown will be doing the program about her pottery art for the meeting. This will be a good time to join our growing group of local artists if you haven’t already. We will be changing our day & time to meet the third Monday morning of the month from 10 – 11:30am in June so mark your calendars.

The Gilmer Fine Artists meet the 3rd Monday of every month starting in June.
Meetings begin with a social time, followed by a business meeting and program. All area artist, 2d and 3d are encouraged to join.
Members will take part in exhibitions, decide on workshop development, planning Plein Air, Art in the Mountains, instructional opportunities/activities, and much more!
Membership $15 if already a Gilmer Arts member
$50 for GFA and Gilmer Arts membership

Actively promote awareness and appreciation of the visual arts in Gilmer County and the surrounding area.
Encourage the development of member artists at all levels of accomplishment, to study and promote the arts, and to provide opportunities to exhibit the work of member artist and artisans.
Guild support of Gilmer Arts as an organization and fine arts in Gilmer County and its surrounds by reaching and/or exceeding the following objectives:
- Develop a schedule of art exhibitions in which member artist will participate
- Encourage new artists
- Create a curriculum of workshops and other learning opportunities designed to enrich and educate member artists in their craft.
- Identify and mount other events/activities as per the guild members, designed to fulfill the guild’s vision and mission.
